In November I wait...for the last leaf to fall...for the last garden blossom to droop...for the last glimpse of my migrating feathered friends...for the dog's coat to thicken...for the last of the apples, picked from the tree not so long ago to disappear from the bowl...for the first morning when liquid turns solid at water's edge...and for the holiday season to begin.  I combat the loss of fall color with a brighter palette in my paintings and woven goods.  It lifts the spirits and energizes the soul.
