Seaside Garden

With the spring planting frenzy completed, we can sit back and watch our seaside garden grow.  Wherever you live, you can create a coastal feel to your gardens with the addition of your special seashells, rocks and driftwood collected on your trips to the beach.  Hang shell wind chimes and paint your birdhouse in tropical colors.  Be creative with fishnet for training climbing vegetables and flowers.  Set your statuary in sand for a contemplation corner.  Line your garden plots with rocks painted in the blue and aqua tones of the ocean.

Change is in The Air

Spring has been slow to arrive this year.  I decided early in March to put blinders on and barrel ahead with work projects I had planned.  The most interesting and exciting process has been to set up an independent shop at Shopify.  I've enjoyed changing the look of the store presentation and adding new products.  I've forced myself to build the site without help so that it would be a learning process all the way.  Each day I focus on a few things that need tweaking and I'm relentless until I've conquered the changes.  There's more to do to make it a smooth running and aesthetic shop, but the results really are rewarding.  I hope you'll take a peek if you get a chance.  CS

Renew, Recenter, Reboot.

Just about this time every year, I experience an irresistible urge to walk in sand and feel the warm rays of the sun on my face.  I step away from snow, ice and frigid wind chilled temperatures and travel until I find a beach where I can renew my coastal soul.  I'm here and I've found myself again.
