Pelican Bay Watch

Hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July.  We enjoyed lots of company, great summer weather and mounds of delicious food.  Perfect.  Grateful.  I'm ready to settle into the heat of summer and do some serious painting.  I thought I'd start with a Pelican Portrait that was inspired by a visit to Georgia this past spring.  He stood and observed me as I readied my camera.  Sitting motionless, he stared as if he knew that I'd be taking numerous shots.  I got the feeling that this wasn't his first photo shoot, and it probably wouldn't be his last.  I was very glad I had decided to tote my camera along.  I call it Pelican Bay Watch.
